TextWerkbank is run by A 36-year-old freelance copywriter in Cologne who writes website copy, blog articles, and newsletter texts for small businesses across the DACH region. Studied something completely unrelated (art history) and fell into copywriting by accident when a friend asked her to fix their terrible About page in 2018. Has since built a one-person business writing for coaches, therapists, and small online shops -- but secretly struggled with her own writing confidence for years because German grammar has rules she keeps forgetting and Duden.de is her most-visited website. Tried her first professional writing course in 2024 after a client pointed out a Konjunktiv II error in a sales page and she spiraled for three days. Has since tested multiple German writing tools and courses and keeps a simple spreadsheet tracking which ones actually improved her output quality versus which ones just made her feel busy. Not a German teacher, not a linguist, not a journalist -- just a freelancer who writes for a living and finally decided to invest in getting better at it. Has a home office that is technically the kitchen table and a toddler who interrupts every deep writing session..
